What are Spirit Guides?
Spirit Guides are entities that remain as dis-incarnate spirits in order to act as a guide or protector to a living person. They can present themselves in many forms such as humans, animals, fairies or totems. Our Guides are here to guide and protect us through this life. They are always looking out for us and come complete with love, compassion and continuous support.
Any one person can have 7-10 Spirit Guides at any given time. Usually, there are 3-5 permanent Spirits with us throughout our life and 5-7 Spirits that will change based on our needs. They help us navigate and learn crucial lessons, provide us faith and hope when we need it most, and support us through changes as our soul develops. Our lifetime Guides are with us from birth to death and were selected before we were born. Others come and go as our needs change and then move on to help another.
Spirit Guides have specific jobs although multi-tasking is not out of their scope of work. They can serve in a protective role, provide wisdom or healing, or are here to simply bring us joy. However, they can be vague when guiding us down our path. It’s our life and they want us to live and learn from it. We need to pay attention to the signs they give but take pride in our own achievements. We also need to realize that our Guides can be wrong about the future. They give their best advice based on the specific time and place of where we are on our journey but sometimes our lives can take a sudden turn that they could not foresee. With outside influences and other factors affecting our daily lives, the outcomes can change.
Spirit Guides will not interfere with our life if unasked. We must remember we are not alone, even in our darkest hour. We need to speak-up and ask for their help and guidance. That is their sole job and they want to do it. Forming a relationship with your Guides can improve you quality of life and enhance your spiritual journey. Talk to them daily. Your Spirit Guides are listening.
